In LOVE IN EDEN THE GARDEN OF ORIGINALS, God’s plan for the first Adam is discussed. Before the Fall, Adam was in a state of innocence…his spirit was joined to God’s Spirit, therefore fellowship with God was intimate and unobstructed. After Adam sinned all that changed…in a split second his spirit was severed from the Holy Spirit (Gn3:7). The change in the nature of Adam and Eve were seen immediately. From that point on Adam and Eve were separated from God. When they heard God coming, they ran away and hid from His presence in fear and shame. They no longer desired to walk with God and hid from Him (Gn3:8).
We are rebels at heart, and sin has infected and polluted this once-perfect creation. We are all broken images of our Creator, and the whole of creation itself now “groans” and “travails” because it is now flawed, oppressed and in league through our fallen nature with our spiritual adversary Satan and his host of evil spirits. But the promise of God’s Word is that He will complete the full redemption of His Creation, and it will come with a full manifestation of the glory of the redeemed nature of His children! The reason that Lord Jesus is called the “last Adam” (1Co15:45) is that He came to undo the curse of the first Adam.
Learning doctrinal truth is like building a structure: if the foundation is off, the whole building will be off. Sound doctrine begins with a sound interpretation of the fundamentals. Only then can we follow God’s order and sequence, “For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept: line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little…” (Is28:10).
